Installation

Downloading the Extension

Email : After purchasing the extension from our store, you will receive an email with the link to download the extension.

Store : You can also download the extension from the Downloads section of our store. If you are new to our store, then you have to first create an account using the same email address which you have used while purchasing the extension.

Unzip the Package

  • UNZIP the package ResponsiveNewsTicker_UNZIP.zip using any file unzipper or winrar.
  • Upon unzipping the package you will find the following.
    • mod_rticker_X.x.zip : The file is supported by both Joomla 3.x and 4.x
    • ReadMe.txt - The file has information about the current version of the extension.

Install the Extension

  • Now to install the file  login to the backend of your Joomla website.
    • For J3 - Go to Extensions > Extension Manager and click on the Upload Package File Tab. Click on browse to choose the correct installation file and click on "Upload and Install"
    • For J4 -  Go to System > Install > Extensions . Drag and drop or browse for file to install.
  • The success message will appear after installation is completed.

General Settings

  • Under the "General Options" tab, you can set the Ticker Position by selecting the desired module position from the drop-down menu.

  • Next, under the "Appearance Options" tab, you can set the Ticker Height by entering the desired height value in pixels (e.g. 200px).

  • You can also set the Speed of the Ticker by entering a value in milliseconds (e.g. 5000 for 5 seconds).

  • The Scroll Direction can be set to either "Left" or "Up", depending on the desired scrolling direction.

  • To enable the Pause On Hover feature, set "Pause On Hover" to "On". This will pause the ticker when the user hovers over it.

  • You can also set the Label before Ticker by entering the desired text in the "Label" field.

  • Once you have configured the module settings, save the changes and assign the module to a module position on your Joomla site.

  • Test the news ticker on your site and adjust the settings as needed to achieve the desired look and functionality.

Styling Settings

  • Under the "Styling Settings" tab, you can set the Label Color, Background Color, Content Color, and Content Hover Color by selecting the desired color values from the color picker.

  • You can also set the News Ticker Font Family by selecting a font from the drop-down menu. If you want to use a custom font, select "User-defined Font Family" and enter the name of the font in the "Font Family" field.

  • To adjust the Font Size, enter a value in pixels (e.g. 16).

  • You can also adjust the Font Weight by selecting a value from the drop-down menu (e.g. "Bold").

  • Once you have configured the styling settings, save the changes and assign the module to a module position on your Joomla site.

  • Test the news ticker on your site and adjust the settings as needed to achieve the desired look and functionality.

Content Settings

  • Under the "Content Settings" tab, you can set the News Source by selecting the desired source from the drop-down menu. The available options may include Joomla articles or HTML Text.

  • If you have selected Joomla articles as the News Source, you can further specify the Category of articles to display by selecting the desired category from the drop-down menu.

  • You can also specify the Order Results by selecting a value from the drop-down menu. This will determine the order in which the news items are displayed (e.g. "Newest First").

  • Finally, you can set the Direction of the news ticker by selecting either by Ascending or descending.

  • Once you have configured the content settings, save the changes and assign the module to a module position on your Joomla site.

  • Test the news ticker on your site and adjust the settings as needed to achieve the desired look and functionality.

Advanced

Add Extra CSS : You can add extra css directly by adding into this field.

Troubleshooting

  • Check properly that you have activated the module in an existing template position.
  • Clear the Joomla and browser cache and refresh the frontend.
