Installation

Downloading the Extension

Email : After purchasing the extension from our store, you will receive an email with the link to download the extension.

Store : You can also download the extension from the Downloads section of our store. If you are new to our store, then you have to first create an account using the same email address which you have used while purchasing the extension.

Click to download the extension package - LightboxContentPopup_UNZIP.zip

Unzip the Package

UNZIP the package LightboxContentPopup_UNZIP.zip using any file unzipper or winrar.
Upon unzipping the package you will find the following.
- mod_lightbox_popup_X.x.zip : The file is supported by both Joomla 3.x and 4.x
- ReadMe.txt - The file has information about the current version of the extension.

Install the Extension

Now to install the file login to the backend of your Joomla website.
- For J3 - Go to Extensions > Extension Manager and click on the Upload Package File Tab. Click on browse to choose the correct installation file and click on "Upload and Install"
- For J4 - Go to System > Install > Extensions . Drag and drop or browse for file to install.
The success message will appear after installation is completed.

Basic Settings

After successful installation

For J3 - Go to Extensions > Module Manager
For J4 - Go to Content > Site Modules.
You will find Lightbox Content Popup listed. Clicked on it to configure.

Setting a Module Position

For our module to work, it is mandatory to set it to any of the module position of your Joomla website.

Set the Title of the Module.
Select any module position from the Position dropdown list where you want to publish the module.
Select the status to Published

General Settings

In the "General Options" tab, you can set the following parameters:

Height: Set the height of the Popup Box in pixels.
Width: Set the width of the Popup Box in pixels.
Opening Effect: Choose an effect for opening the Popup Box, such as fade,elastic, or none.
Closing Effect: Choose an effect for closing the Popup Box, such as fade,elastic, or none.
Animation Speed Mode: Select the animation speed mode, either "Fast", "Slow", or "Custom".
Opening Speed: Set the opening animation speed in milliseconds.
Closing Speed: Set the closing animation speed in milliseconds.
Show Title: Choose whether to display the title of the Popup Box or not.
Popup Box Opacity: Set the opacity of the Popup Box background, ranging from 0 to 1.

Styling Settings

In the "Styling Options" tab, you can set the following parameters:

Display: Choose the display mode for the Popup Box, either "Horizontal" or "Vertical".
Container Width: Set the width of the Popup Box container in pixels or percentage.
Padding Left: Set the left padding of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Padding Right: Set the right padding of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Padding Top: Set the top padding of the Popup Box container in pixels .
Padding Bottom: Set the bottom padding of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Margin Left: Set the left margin of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Margin Right: Set the right margin of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Margin Top: Set the top margin of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Margin Bottom: Set the bottom margin of the Popup Box container in pixels.
Border Color: Set the color of the Popup Box border.
Border Size: Set the size of the Popup Box border in pixels.
Caption Text Color: Set the color of the caption text.
Background Color: Set the background color of the Popup Box.
Select Caption Font: Choose a built-in font for the caption text.
User-defined Caption Font: Specify a custom font for the caption text using CSS code.
Caption Font Size: Set the font size of the caption text in pixels.
Caption Font Weight: Set the font weight of the caption text, such as "normal" or "bold".
Zoom Image on Hover: Enable or disable the zooming effect on the image when hovering over it.
Image Overlay: Enable or disable the overlay effect on the image when displayed in the Popup Box.

Content Settings

Content Source: Choose the source of the content to display in the Popup Box, either "Joomla Article" or "Module Slide".

For Source as Joomla Article

Category: Select the category of the content to display, or choose "All" to show all categories.
Order Results: Choose the order of the content results, such as by title, date, hits, or random.
Direction: Choose the direction of the ordering, either ascending or descending.
Count: Set the number of content items to display.
Show Intro Text: Choose whether to show or hide the intro text of the content item.
Read More Text: Specify the text for the "Read More" link to view the full article.
Strip Intro Text HTML: Choose whether to strip HTML tags from the intro text of the content item.

For Source as Module Slide

Show : Option to show image, caption/title or both.
Select an Image: Click on the "Select" button to choose an image file from your media library or upload a new one.
Caption: Enter a caption for the slide image.
Media: Choose the type of media to display in the slide, such as an HTML Contents, Youtube, Vimeo or Google Maps.
Content: Enter the content to display in the Popup Box for this slide.

Advanced

License Key : The extension version 4.5 and higher has an option to add the license key which allows you to directly update the extension to the latest version without manually downloading from our site every time their is a new update. The license key can be downloaded from the Downloads Section of our store.
Add Extra CSS : You can add extra css directly by adding into this field.

How to

Go to the Download Section of our store.
If you already have an account then login or else you create an account if you are new to our store..
Create an account using the same email address which you have used while purchasing the extension. (This isn't your Paypal email address but the address which you have provided in our store while purchasing)
Once you login to the Download section you can find the License Key for the extension.
